What happens during the first consultation?
We listen to your situation, review any documents you have available, and explain in plain terms what the estate involves and what options the family has. There is no expectation that you proceed further if the consultation does not feel right.
How long does an estate process typically take in Thailand?
Timelines vary considerably depending on the size of the estate, whether a will is in place, and whether any matters are contested. Straightforward cases with a valid will may resolve in a few months; more involved matters can take longer. We give honest estimates based on your specific circumstances.
Do I need to bring documents to the first meeting?
It is helpful to bring whatever you have — a copy of the will, identification documents, and any property records — but it is not required. We can still give you a general picture of the process even if you arrive with questions only.
What if family members disagree about the estate?
Disputes among heirs are not uncommon, and there are paths through them. Our Estate Matter Representation service is designed for situations where a matter has become contested. We assess each case on its own facts before advising on the most reasonable way forward.
Are fees discussed upfront?
Yes. Our service fees are stated clearly from the beginning. For the Estate Overview Consultation, the fee is ฿1,490. Will and Records Support begins at ฿2,640. Estate Matter Representation starts at ฿4,070, with the full scope discussed after an initial assessment. No work proceeds until you have agreed in writing.
Is the service available in English?
Yes. We serve both Thai-speaking and English-speaking families. All written summaries and correspondence can be provided in English if preferred.
